For more than 40 years, Jubilee Women's Center has supported women experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time.
The Challenge
After several years of staffing turnover, the organization's grant program had lost momentum. Relationships with funders had lapsed, proposal deadlines were being missed, and the team wasn't able to fully leverage Jubilee's long history of grant success. Leadership wanted to rebuild a sustainable grant program with the systems, strategy, and capacity to support long-term growth.
Our Solution
We partnered with Jubilee Women's Center in 2023 through our Get Grounded Bundle, helping rebuild the foundation of their institutional fundraising program. Together, we:

Identified and qualified 81 prospective funding opportunities, prioritizing opportunities based on alignment, competitiveness, and return on investment

Developed a strategic 12-month grant calendar to create a clear roadmap for consistent grant planning and proposal development
As momentum grew, Jubilee transitioned into our Perennial Partnership, where we continue to provide ongoing grant writing, funder stewardship, prospect research, and long-term fundraising strategy.
The Results
What began as a project to rebuild Jubilee's grant program has grown into a long-term partnership that continues to strengthen the organization's institutional fundraising. Within the first six months of working together, Jubilee:

Submitted 25 grant proposals

Secured $179,000 in funding from new, renewed, and re-engaged funders
Since then, the grant program has continued to gain momentum. Here’s what our success has looked like by the numbers:

Annual grant revenue increased from $226,500 to more than $320,000 (the organization's strongest grant revenue in more than five years)

Exceeded annual fundraising goals for two consecutive years, reaching 128% of goal in FY2025 and 111% in FY2026

81% increase in proposal volume, growing from 53 proposals in FY2024 to 96 proposals in FY2026

Funder renewal rates increased from 25% to 67%

Lapsed funders decreased from 44% to just 13%, creating a stronger, more sustainable portfolio of institutional supporters
